Almost Too LatePushing through the  
Double-wooden door  And I’m greeted by  The same faces each day  Some giving a friendly response  And some just staring  Like dead people from their caskets  Opened at their funerals  Only, these people are alive,  However, just barely  They do not notice my presence  As I move through the hall  And into the next room  And if they see me  They do not gesture.  Though, still others make sounds  Showing off the few motor skills  That they have left  Clapping and saying  Silly phrases  Or reaching for my hand  As I Almost Too Late

LaughterI wander freely  Through oaks and maples,  Far from comfort and warmth.  Sadness surrounds me like a winter cloak,  as I travel towards a simple grave.  
I stop in front of the tombstone,  gaze heavy as a boulder.  Suddenly a change occurs, a new wind blows  The aura surrounding me isn't so bleak  As I gaze below, a slight smile is seen,  and as I return back, a flash of pink is seen,  as a sakura blossom floats down gently,  and a hint of laughter travels behind me  To land on a final resting place. SO BUSY

So that contest is over and I didn't win.

Anyway, I have been SO busy with school this semester that I have basically avoided this account because I don't have the time to read the poetry. Sorry to anyone who really wanted me to read their stuff in any clubs...Or to my watchers for not writing! if you want to keep up on my artistic life, check out my more active photo account: *velvetXskies/:iconvelvetxskies:. I am on it more because I have photo classes, so I update it every now and then with class stuff and sometimes other stuff.

Yeah...School=SO BUSY!
